In this post I have decided to share all of the books I read over the summer and tell you which one is my favorite! A few of the books I have already talked about in a past post this summer where I described the books I had read in the first few months, so some will be a repeat.
Most of these books were recommended through Zoella and WHSmith book club, some of you may have noticed that! These that were recommended are not my common types of reading as they are more young adult and light reads such as story lines that are about relationships and friendships however I did enjoy reading them. Then there are some books that I researched on my own and are more of my common reads and are very suspenseful, page turning and more dark, so hopefully having this wide range, one or two will stand out to you.
Still Mine by Amy Stuart
Drafter by Kim Harrison
The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
A Dark Lure by Loreth Ann White
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard
My favorite book this summer has been:
A Dark Lure by Loreth Ann White.
The way the book was written, the language used, the plot itself was all so intriguing and for sure a page turner. Without any spoilers, it follows along with the female protagonist who has changed her identity and ran away from her past as she was kidnapped, abused, raped by her captor who eventually finds her where she has moved. It is very suspenseful, descriptive and dark and I loved every bit of it!
Summer is always the time of year where I have the most time to read being as school is out and I have more time to myself. I obviously do still read during the school year so I will upload posts when I have completed a few books and share my favorites. 🙂
