Currently Reading…

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well and are enjoying these summer months. Leave in the comments a few things you have gotten up to this summer, I would really like to hear from some of you. 🙂

I am currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses and actually came across it from it being recommended to me by the lady at my local bookstore and two girls who happened to overhear our conversation. The last bunch of books I have read had all fallen into similar genres, mostly suspense and thrillers but I recently went to the bookstore and have been craving a different read. I wanted something dystopian and that had a heart warming effect but still suspenseful enough to keep me intrigued and thats when the lady at the bookstore recommended this book to me. As soon as she picked the book up, two younger girls next to me instantly began raving about the book and saying how amazing it is and apparently it has been a really good seller at this bookstore.

I currently am half way through and I am really glad I listened to these girls. It is exactly what I wanted to read and I think the shortest but most appropriate way to describe this book is a more intriguing and complex version of the Beauty and the Beast. Take the Beauty and the Beast story and place it into a different world that is darker and more complex, and add a higher dose of love elements and I think it would be A Court of Thorns and Roses.

This book does belong to a series and currently the author Sarah J Maas has written three books of the series but to my knowledge, it will become a series of six books. I will be continuing with the series!
