I am back with another health journey update and I think I only have positives to share with you.
I have been staying active each day, either it being an hour run or a 30 minute toning workout in my room and I am proud of my consistency not only with working out but also eating healthy foods. My Fitbit is honestly a large motivator for staying on track and if you do not own either a step tracker, Fitbit, Apple watch or some cool gadget that tracks your daily progress, I would really recommend in investing in one. I will write a post on my thoughts of the Fitbit that I purchased a few months ago and have been using ever since.
Another proactive step I have taken that I think is also a large contributor to staying on track is each week I bake a healthy, natural ingredient desert. That way if at night, normally after dinner, I am craving sweets or a snack, I have something available and healthy. It has kept the cravings low, prevented any binge eating and is guilt free.
Here is the last treat I recently made that tastes really good…
Vegan Blueberry Tarts
I am all about focusing on the ingredients going into the foods that I make. I like to try and make sure everything I am putting into my body is made from ingredients that I can pronounce and know is healthy for me. Therefore I recommend buying some cook books or saving recipes on Pinterest and start making cooking and baking a little more of a habit if it isn’t one already.
I found this recipe through Pinterest and on a blog called Evolving Table. I am really happy with the result as they are really delicious and curb sweet cravings that I sometimes get.
Let me know in the comments if you try this recipe and enjoy it!
